Run Uma is the first vocal single by Hans Green. It was released on 10th of September 2019 as an ode to the notorious american serial killer A. Wuornose. Green states that her story inspired him to write about her just after he first watched the documentary about her life story. He started researching more about her life trying to understand what pushed her to do such inhuman acts. Even though he was already into her life story, only short before he started writing the lyrics for the song, he found out through his best friend Ruxy Ghimp (vlogger) that there is an artistic movie made after Wuornose’s story. Charlize Theron´s performance in the movie was definitely the trigger for Green to start writing the song. He named the track “Run Uma” as he didn’t want to use Wuornose’s real name in the song and it’s also a tribute to one of his favorite actresses, Uma Thurman.
